The getartcraft.com app page and the repository identify the same PhotoCraft project. Check both the owner and repository name when following a search result; another project containing “photo” or “craft” is not automatically this application.

What to open first

For this guide, v0.7.0 is a fixed reference checked on October 11, 2026. Its README lists 55 tools. The main branch is a moving development target and may show a different tool count. A feature added there may not exist in the installer you downloaded, so compare the same version when investigating a difference.

Build instructions need their context

The versioned README shows the Rust workspace’s development entry points, and links to additional setup details. Read those instructions before running a build. We have not compiled PhotoCraft here and do not label that workflow as verified. If you only want to edit an image, a release package avoids turning an editing task into a development setup.

A useful issue report is specific

Record the app version, operating system, image dimensions, reproduction steps and visible result. Attach a minimal sample you are allowed to share when the issue requires it. Remove unrelated private content first. Keep download failures, rendering differences and export problems separate so a maintainer can reproduce the relevant stage.

Source browsing or immediate editing?

Use GitHub when you need the implementation or want to contribute. Use our separate free browser editor when you just need to crop, resize or re-encode one picture now. It is a local utility, not a hosted copy of the PhotoCraft codebase.

Frequently asked questions

Which GitHub owner is official?

The linked PhotoCraft project is under storytold.

Is the main branch the same as a release?

No. A fixed tag identifies a version; the development branch can contain later changes.

Do GitHub stars prove software quality?

No. Popularity counts are not a substitute for a workflow test or an issue reproduction.
