Start with the official Windows packages
The v0.7.0 documentation lists x64, ARM64 and x86 Windows packages, with MSI installer and portable ZIP options. This guide was checked on October 11, 2026. It describes the published options; we have not installed each build or verified its behavior on your machine.
Match the architecture
Read System type in Windows Settings before downloading. Architecture is different from the version number printed on the release: one describes the computer, the other describes the application. If you are unsure, compare your system information with the project’s current requirements.
| Your PC | Package family |
|---|---|
| 64-bit Intel or AMD Windows | x64 |
| Windows on ARM, such as a Snapdragon PC | arm64 |
| 32-bit Windows | x86, subject to the release requirements |
Installer or portable ZIP?
An installer is useful when you want a normal installed application. A portable package is useful when you prefer to unpack a specific build into a folder. Follow the release’s own instructions and keep the package contents together. Check the published checksum information and Windows signature details; this guide does not make a blanket security guarantee or advise bypassing operating-system checks.
Check one small task after opening
Use a disposable copy of an image before opening important work. Confirm that the canvas appears, common shortcuts work and an exported picture opens correctly. If it fails, note the exact version, architecture, graphics hardware and error message for a useful issue report. Download availability alone does not establish that a particular driver or document works.
Edit a picture while you choose a desktop setup
For a crop, resize or format change, our separate browser image editor needs no Windows installer. It processes one supported JPG, PNG or WebP locally and can save a new image. Use PhotoCraft when your task needs its wider desktop editing workspace.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Windows PhotoCraft app?
Yes. The linked official release provides Windows packages.
Which build should I choose for a Snapdragon PC?
Check whether Windows reports an ARM-based processor, then select the matching ARM64 package and read its requirements.
Can I edit without installing PhotoCraft?
Our browser tool handles basic image edits. The separate PhotoCraft web build requires self-hosting setup.
